From 9 to 11 October 2025, the city of Alicante will transform into Spain’s ultimate hub for rap and urban culture as Rocanrola 2025 takes over the Costa Blanca. Over three days, the festival will bring together more than 50 national and international artists, blending music, art, and street culture into one vibrant celebration of everything that defines hip-hop today.
Each day of Rocanrola unfolds like a chapter in hip-hop’s global story.
- Thursday, 9 October, opens the festival with a focus on Spanish rap and underground talent, giving a platform to emerging MCs, local collectives, and freestyle battles that showcase the raw energy of Spain’s hip-hop scene.
- Friday, 10 October, raises the tempo with performances from established names in urban music — from trap and drill artists to genre-blending acts that fuse hip-hop with reggaetón, dancehall, and R&B.
- Saturday, 11 October, closes the event in pure celebration: a marathon of live shows, graffiti jams, skate exhibitions, and DJ sets that carry the festival deep into the night, honoring hip-hop’s party roots while pushing creative boundaries.
But Rocanrola is more than its lineup. Across the festival grounds, graffiti artists will transform walls into open-air galleries, skaters and BMX riders will take over ramps and halfpipes, and streetwear designers will showcase the influence of hip-hop fashion on youth identity. It’s a three-day immersion into the culture’s four classic elements — MCing, DJing, graffiti, and breaking — expanded with the energy of 21st-century urban creativity.
What makes Rocanrola 2025 especially powerful is how it localizes hip-hop’s global spirit. Born in the Bronx as a voice for marginalized communities, hip-hop at Rocanrola becomes a bridge between cultures — connecting Spanish urban youth with international movements while celebrating their own stories, languages, and rhythms.
As the Mediterranean sun sets over Alicante and beats echo through the night, Rocanrola 2025 stands as proof that hip-hop is not just a genre — it’s a living, evolving culture, rooted in expression, resistance, and community.
