Wu-Tang Clan member Inspectah Deck is back with a new solo album, Dragon’s Breath, marking his first full-length solo release since 2019’s critically acclaimed Chamber No. 9. The project arrives after Deck recently unveiled the lead single, “Day In The Life,” giving fans a taste of the razor-sharp lyricism and gritty production that have made him one of hip-hop’s most respected MCs.

Dragon’s Breath boasts a heavyweight lineup of collaborators, with features from Wu-Tang Clan members Raekwon, Method Man, Masta Killa, Cappadonna, and U-God, alongside fellow Czarface member Esoteric and many more. The album’s production is led by PA Dre and features contributions from longtime Wu-Tang architect RZA, acclaimed producer Mathematics, Czarface producer 7L, and veteran beatmakers Rockwilder and MoSS, delivering a sound that stays true to Deck’s signature East Coast foundation while pushing into fresh territory.

The release ends a seven-year wait for a new solo album. Deck’s last solo effort, Chamber No. 9, dropped in 2019 and was praised by fans and critics alike for its focused production and elite lyricism, reminding listeners why he’s widely regarded as one of the strongest pens in the Wu-Tang Clan. Since then, Deck has remained active through Wu-Tang Clan releases and extensive work with Czarface, but Dragon’s Breath marks his long-awaited return to the spotlight as a solo artist.

With Dragon’s Breath, Inspectah Deck once again proves that timeless lyricism and authentic boom-bap never go out of style, delivering another chapter in a solo catalog that continues to grow stronger with time.
