French Montana and Max B reconnect for new album Wave Gods 2: Cosmos Brothers.  The new album announcement feels bigger than a typical sequel—it’s the return of a partnership that helped define an entire sound.

Back in the late 2000s, their Coke Wave era carved out a melodic, laid-back style that would quietly influence a generation of artists. Now, with Max B finally home and able to record freely, Wave Gods 2 lands as their first fully in-the-moment collaboration in years. It’s not built off old verses or distance—it’s real-time chemistry again.

The timing matters. After years of Max B’s absence, French carried the “wave” into the mainstream, but this project brings the originator back into the picture. That dynamic—French’s polished, global reach alongside Max’s raw, unmistakable charisma—gives the tape its identity. Early buzz around singles like “Ever Since U Left Me” shows they’re not just leaning on nostalgia either; the sound still connects.

More than anything, Wave Gods 2 feels like a statement. It’s about reclaiming a legacy while proving it still has momentum. Instead of trying to recreate the past, French Montana and Max B are picking up where they left off—reminding everyone that the wave never really stopped, it just needed both of them back in sync.

Wave Gods 2 is set for release on April 24th and a US tour starting May 24th in Albany, NY.
