OVO and UFC are back together, and their latest collaboration pushes the relationship between combat sports and streetwear even further.
October’s Very Own and UFC return with a collection on August 21st that brings together two distinct worlds: the intensity and heritage of mixed martial arts and OVO’s unmistakable approach to modern lifestyle fashion. The result is a capsule that feels less like traditional fight merchandise and more like a statement about how deeply UFC has become embedded in contemporary culture.
The collection features a selection of hoodies, athletic jerseys, graphic T-shirts and long-sleeve pieces, combining UFC imagery with OVO’s signature owl branding. Rather than simply placing two logos together, the collection draws on the history and personalities that have helped shape UFC, giving each piece its own identity.
One of the standout elements is the use of fighter-inspired graphics. The collection pays tribute to names including Islam Makhachev, Hasbulla and former champion Chuck Liddell, while also drawing on iconic moments from UFC history such as Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Conor McGregor and Georges St-Pierre vs. Nate Diaz.
Leading the campaign is Canadian UFC welterweight Mike Malott, creating a natural connection between UFC and OVO’s Canadian roots. His involvement gives the collection an authenticity that goes beyond simply borrowing the visual language of combat sports.
What makes the collaboration particularly interesting is the way OVO translates UFC culture into everyday streetwear. The collection doesn’t attempt to recreate what fighters wear inside the Octagon. Instead, it takes elements of fight posters, championship culture, athletic uniforms and iconic fighters and reworks them into pieces that can exist comfortably outside the arena.
That approach has become central to OVO’s wider identity. The brand has consistently found ways to connect music, sport and street culture, and the UFC collaboration feels like a natural extension of that world.
The second collaboration also suggests that this partnership is becoming more than a one-off crossover. The first OVO x UFC collection explored the origins and history of the organisation, while this latest release expands the idea by bringing together UFC legends, current fighters and the wider culture surrounding the sport.
At its best, the collection represents what modern sports fashion has become: less about simply supporting a team or athlete and more about wearing a piece of a culture.
OVO brings the Toronto identity, music and streetwear influence. UFC brings the competition, history and personalities. Together, they create a collection that sits somewhere between fight memorabilia and contemporary fashion — proving that the Octagon’s influence doesn’t stop when the fight ends.
