Three generations of hip-hop excellence are set to converge as legendary MCs Rakim, Kurupt, and Masta Killa are set to release a new collaborative album later this year.
The currently untitled project was recently teased by executive producer M80 via social media, where a handwritten tracklist and guest list sparked widespread excitement among hip-hop fans. The album is expected to feature 15 tracks, uniting three highly respected lyricists whose careers have helped shape both East and West Coast rap across multiple decades.
According to Rakim, the project is slated for release in August 2026. The lineup includes an impressive roster of guest appearances including Snoop Dogg, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, KRS-One, Kool G Rap, and others. One of the most talked-about moments is a reported interlude featuring Jay-Z and Eminem, marking a rare pairing of two of hip-hop’s most influential figures.
The project builds on the chemistry previously displayed on “Be Ill,” a standout track from Rakim’s 2024 album G.O.D.’s Network: Reb7rth. That collaboration highlighted how seamlessly Rakim’s pioneering lyricism, Kurupt’s West Coast delivery, and Masta Killa’s signature Wu-Tang style can complement one another.
While an official title and lead single have yet to be announced, anticipation is already mounting for what could become one of the defining hip-hop releases of 2026. With three veteran MCs at the helm and a guest list filled with legends, the project is shaping up to be a celebration of lyricism, legacy, and timeless hip-hop culture.
