Hip-hop dancers from around the world are gearing up for one of the biggest events on the global dance calendar, with the annual Hip Hop International World Hip Hop Dance Championship set to take place from July 25 to August 1, 2026, in Phoenix, Arizona.
Crews representing more than 55 countries will come together for the competition, which celebrates the skill, creativity and cultural influence of hip-hop dance on an international stage.
The championships will feature some of the world’s leading dance teams battling for the world title, with performers competing across divisions including Junior, Varsity, Adult, MiniCrew, JV MegaCrew and MegaCrew categories.
Now recognised as one of the largest hip-hop culture events outside the music industry, the competition has helped highlight the growth of hip-hop dance from its street origins into a worldwide movement.
More than 3,000 dancers are expected to take part, bringing together crews, coaches and supporters for a week of competition, workshops and celebrations of hip-hop culture.
As teams make their final preparations, anticipation is building for a showcase of talent and innovation that will see dancers push the boundaries of performance and represent the continuing evolution of hip-hop worldwide.
